Timika Goodson PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
Neighborhood NP of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to top-quality care from a team of warm and welcoming professionals. Under the leadership of Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Timika Goodson PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, the practice is an outstanding resource for patients seeking care in Maryland and Washington, DC.

Education has always shaped Timika’s path. She earned her undergraduate degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Maryland. She then expanded her skills and education as a Family nurse practitioner through a postgraduate certification at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Heath Nurse Practitioner at George Washington University.

While Timika enjoys working with all her patients, she is incredibly passionate about delivering care to members of disadvantaged communities and working to improve health outcomes for minority patients. Timika's holistic approach encompasses the preventive, acute care, and chronic disease management that people need as they move through the phases of life as well as the emotional and mental health support needed to help navigate life's challenges. Having a trusted medical professional to turn to in times of need can make challenging situations easier to bear.
Patient education is woven into every interaction, and Timika views her role as a partner in each patient’s health journey. Building lasting relationships with those in her care allows Timika to help patients feel empowered to take charge of their health and wellness and maintain independence well into retirement years and beyond.
