Welcome to Neighborhood NP's Precepting Service, where mental health students have the opportunity to train under the guidance of Timika Goodson, a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

 

Our precepting service offers clinical preceptorship with Timika during our operating hours, which are weekly Tuesdays through Fridays between 9 AM and 2 PM. This allows students to gain invaluable hands-on experience by seeing 10 to 13 patients a day via telebehavioral health and accruing up to 100 documented clinical hours per month.

 

Whether you're studying to become a Nurse Practitioner, therapist, or related fields, you'll have the chance to learn from a seasoned professional who is dedicated to providing top-quality care to underserved communities. One of the unique benefits of precepting with Timika is the convenience of telehealth. Regardless of your location in the United States, you can complete your clinical hours remotely, allowing for flexibility and accessibility.

 

At Neighborhood NP, we are committed to providing culturally sensitive and informed mental healthcare to a diverse population, particularly underserved ethnic and racial minorities. As a preceptee, you'll have the opportunity to participate in caring for adult patients with complex mental health histories, gaining exposure to a wide range of cases and developing your clinical skills.

 

Our Precepting Service is available for mental health students for a monthly honorarium of $999, providing you with comprehensive training and mentorship from Timika Goodson PMHNP-BC, FNP-C.
